In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.

Escape
Here's another layout included in my Summer 2007 album. Medyo pangit nga lang pagkaka-scan. Hehehe!
Rarely do we find nowadays people who will work for you and stay with to become one of the family. We are truly lucky to have ATE MERCY with us. From the time I was born she's been with us. She took part in taking care of us. Cooked for us and cleaned for us when we were kids. Now, she has become our confidante, our friend, our sister, teacher and even our mother. She's now hoping to become a pastor and is a Sunday school teacher at a local church. When we have problems or concerns, we ask her to pray for us and she would advice us also. What I so appreciate about her now is how she can scold us about our wrongdoings and yet encourage us about how God is our true and only comfort. She may be strict at times and austere but I know that she really looks out for us.
This picture was taken while we were at our backyard playing around. It was one of those rare occasions when Ate Mercy, who has been sick for quite a while, was able to come downstairs with us. With the lush greenery coupled with the dalmatians black and white fur and the expression of wonder on her face... I couldn't resist taking a picture of that moment. It was just so perfect. She's been cooped inside so long, worrying about her sickness, and undone duties, that being outside, reveling in the sunshine, felt like an escape from all those worries. It felt like just at that moment, God gifted her with peace in her heart and comfort for all her worries. I envy her for that... For her strength, courage and wisdom... for a life anchored securely in God.
