In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.

Holy Week was kind of hectic for me (it always is)... We had the usual guests although they were fewer than the past years. I do enjoy their company but sometimes I get jealous when they go out to the beach and I have to stay behind to look after our station. Even our crew would take vacations that's why I have to help out in the station's operation.
Thankfully, the Monday after Easter was a holiday because it was Araw ng Kagitingan. Yipee! The guests have gone and we have an extra day to ourselves!!! So what do we do? We head off to the beach! The beach was almost empty because most of the tourists were gone so we had the whole beach to ourselves. It was perfect. Blue skies... blue water... white sand (lite grey actually).. cool company and two digicams to record all those water splashing, sunbathing, beachcombing activities we will be enjoying.
Needless to say, we did enjoy the day although I felt guilty because my twin couldn't come cos she was scheduled for a check-up... and I felt even guiltier when she texted us that they were rushing her to the hospital because of low (very low) platelet count. So after rushing back home, we spent the night looking for blood donors. Now, two weeks later... my sister is better. Hopefully, her platelet count won't drop ever again... If it doesn't happen again, she may be declared completely recovered. I thank everyone who prayed for us and helped in any way. It is only by God's grace that she's getting better. I believe it was the countless prayers that helped her/us through this crisis. God is so good!
